I have always enjoyed the sunshine – during the Spring and Summer months, it truly is my happy place. But as I was doing my Bible study last night, I had an ah-ha moment!

“I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

Here I thought it was the literal sunshine that my body and mind was soaking up, but it has never been about the sunshine – I have always been drawn to the light because He is the Light! You see – Light = God’s presence, protection, and guidance. The warmth I get from the sunshine is truly God wrapping me in His arms and telling me that He will never let go! He will always walk with me in my struggles, in my success, in my daily life! He is here for me through it all!

Now – I really do like the sunshine and will continue to see Spring & Summer as my happy time, but I am going to make a point in focusing on the Light that he is trying to give me through the Holy Spirit. I encourage you to focus on His Light as well – we can all use His presence, protection and guidance.
